This critical work, which began in October with $165 million in cumulative total value, will help bolster the capacity in Africa to fight extremist groups and protect national security.

Raising the ceiling value of the Worldwide Engineering and Construction indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to $4.4 billion will cover the remaining option years and help sustain the Facilities, Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization program, according to a special notice published recently.
The service branch’s 772nd Enterprise Sourcing Squadron expects the adjustment to the WE&C multiple-award contract’s total ceiling value to support repair works on damaged facilities at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam caused by a typhoon and meet foreign military sales and Defense Logistics Agency requirements.
In 2017, the Air Force awarded 11 companies, including AECOM and KBR, spots on the IDIQ contract.
The contract’s option period kicked off on Feb. 28, 2022, and will run through Feb. 27, 2025. The ordering period can be extended for another six months, ending on Aug. 27, 2025.
